Kirby Hall

Once the home of the university library and current location of our English department, Kirby Hall is one impressive building. Legend has it that a colorful character named Poker Pan was killed in the house during a gambling dispute — decades before the building was donated to the college. After a major renovation took place in 2000, the building won a Pride of Place Award—a local distinction awarded to local organizations that improve the beauty of Wilkes-Barre.
